Dictionary of Nomenclature of Celestial Objects

GASS. We are submitting this application for a new acronym in order to facilitate reference to specific GASS HVCs in future follow-up work. The sensitivity of GASS to large scale structure as well as the way we identify HVCs using a floodfill sourcefinder makes a GHVC distinct from an HVC, in that our definition of a source may join several clouds that are connected at the 2 sigma level. Hence, we propose the new acronym GHVC to specifically designate a source as a GASS HVC, to make the origin of such a cloud clear.
