Abstract (from CDS):
Infrared spectra of the ζ Aur/VV Cep system XX Oph are presented. Contrary to a suggestion of Evans et al. (1993) the 10 µm spectrum shows no silicate emission but instead shows evidence of PAH emission. The infrared emission and the extinction in the blue are consistent with PAH molecules containing ∼30-50 carbon atoms.
