Abstract (from CDS):

S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports that the supernova was independently discovered by R. Kushida, Yatsugatake South Base Observatory, on Jan. 11.86 UT at mag 16.3, using 0.40-m Schmidt Cassegrain f/10 + unfiltered CCD with limiting magnitude 19. The object was not present on her survey frames (limiting mag 18) on 2002 May 25 and back to 1996. She gives for the position the end figures 57s.52, 32".7.
