CH Cygni on the background of heterogeneity of symbiotic stars.

Abstract (from CDS):
With its cool component as a semiregular M6-M7III variable of solar chemical composition, CH Cygni fits well into the classification schemes of symbiotic stars (S- and D-type). On the other hand, its activity behavior is different from most of the other symbiotic stars. We describe some aspects of recent spectroscopic variability of CH Cyg. An attempt is made to explain most of the peculiarities of CH Cyg as a consequence of extremely long orbital period (∼5300 d) for an S-type symbiotic star.
