The new object, which was confirmed at mag 17.1 by Monard on June 2.756, is located at R.A. = 13:57:28.11, Decl. = +6:05:48.5, which is 23" west and 2" south of the galaxy core of NGC 5374. Nothing is seen at this position on Monard's previous image of this galaxy taken on Apr. 15.842 (limiting mag 18.8) or on the Digitized Sky Survey (limiting red mag 20.5).
