This object was designated PSN J16334944+3915487 when posted at the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage and is here designated SN 2011cc based on the spectroscopic report below. Additional KAIT magnitudes for 2011cc: 2010 Sept. 13.16 UT, [19.1 (KAIT); 2011 Apr. 17.51, 17.6 (KAIT). Joseph Brimacombe, Cairns, Australia, reports this a red-filtered image taken remotely with a 51-cm RCOS telescope at the New Mexico Skies Observatory near Mayhill, NM, U.S.A., on Apr. 18.471 shows 2011cc at position end figures 49s.48, 47".8, noting that the variable was too close to the galaxy core to get easy photometry.
