Measuring Ωm using clusters evolution.

Abstract (from CDS):

The constraints obtained by several authors (Eke et al., 1998MNRAS.298.1145E; Henry, 2000ApJ...534..565H) on the estimated values of Ωm, n and σ8 are revisited in the light of recent theoretical developments: 1) new theoretical mass functions; 2) a more accurate mass-temperature relation, also determined for arbitrary Ωm and ΩΛ. I re-derive the X-ray Temperature Function (XTF), similarly to Henry (2000ApJ...534..565H) and Eke et al. (2000MNRAS.315L..18E), re-obtaining the constraints on Ωm, n, σ8. The result shows that changes in the mass function and M-T relation produces an increase in Ωm of ≃20% and similar results in σ8 and n.
