An attempt to check homogeneity at large scales by using galaxy samples.

LUKACS B. and FAY N.

Abstract (from CDS):

A statistical method is applied to galaxy samples to search for possible repetitions on 100Mpc scales. The method is based on autocorrelations, and is constructed in such a way that it does not detect structures of changing scales. The signal for non-randomness is moderate but significant. This result argues for homogeneity well above 300Mpc scales.
