A simple intermediary orbit for the J2 problem.

OBERTI P.

Abstract (from CDS):

A simple precessing ellipse suitable for satellites with moderate eccentricities and inclinations is built in the Hamiltonian context of the J2 problem. Easy to use as a first intermediary orbit, it provides a substantially closer starting point for series expansions than the regular Keplerian ellipse.
