Extinction distances for three planetary nebulae.

SAURER W.

Abstract (from CDS):

Published photoelectric UBV photometry of stars in the angular vicinity (radius=15') of three planetary nebulae was used to construct a reddening distance relation for the line of sight towards each planetary nebula. This relation was confirmed by data on nearby stars and star clusters from the literature. The distances derived are 800±300pc for PNG128.0-04.1 (S188, Simeiz22), 800±400pc for PNG149.4-09.2 (HDW3), and 1100±300pc for PNG224.9+01.0 (We1-6).
