Abstract (from CDS):

Further to IAUC 8117, W. M. Wood-Vasey, G. Aldering, and P. Nugent report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.5) on unfiltered NEAT images taken with the Palomar 1.2-m Schmidt telescope on Mar. 28.20-28.24 UT. The new object is located at R.A. = 11h33m24s.50, Decl. = -9 59'26".4 (equinox 2000.0), which is 1" east and 1" south of the center of the apparent host galaxy. Additional NEAT magnitudes from observations at Palomar and Haleakala: 2002 Apr. 5.20, [21.6; 2003 Feb. 9.51, [21.0; Mar. 3.58, 17.8; 27.32, 16.5; Apr. 7.34, 16.5; 10.13, 16.5; 11.22, 16.6.
