A model of the source LS I +61 303.

LIPUNOV V.M. and NAZIN S.N.

Abstract (from CDS):

The star LSI+61 303 as a radio source with unusual properties is considered. We propose a model of an Induced Pulsator for radio outbursts in LSI+61 303. In our model, the relativistic electrons injected by the radiopulsar are captured by the magnetosphere of the Be-star when the pulsar passed near periastron. Then the captured electrons are cooled slowly due to synchrotron losses. The model was applied to data obtained by Gregory & Taylor in August 1977, August-September 1978 and August-September 1981. These data allow to the determination of parameters of the source LSI+61 303.
